Lovestance

I saw you walking away from me in my dream

I called you by your name but answered myself.

Your favourite spot in my arms was cold with void.

Your eyes were like the suns; they were setting from me.

I have not seen you walk with a cat-walk—

Someone was waving goodbye; she was cat-walking too.

I woke from my dream and there you were, a shadow.

I called your name softly, so you will not pretend not to hear.

So I will not hear myself cry into the void you left behind.
