Love in the Blues (Grieving the pains of xenophobia)

My soul wanders in solitude

Along the coast of a solitary sea

I gaze into space

Far beyond the end of the blue sea

The thought of you overwhelms my frail heart

The fires devourers brought to the midst of you

The pains you are made to savour like juice

Made me want to scream in pains

Want to rend my heart asunder

Like the German grenade in a mine field

Want to echo with all my strength

To the awareness of the seventh heaven

How truly I love you, my blessed mother Africa

Wish to hold you in warm embrace

And heal your broken heart

By the power of my soft words

As I whisper from the centre of the blue sea

Just then my soul flounders at the realisation that

It is now the children of your bosom

Who bring grief to your large heart

Who devour it voraciously

Like the swamp of locust bee
